| The Friends of Luton Museums were delighted that Charlie Dimmock agreed to open the new Stockwood Discovery Centre and in July she did just that. The centre is an infusion of old traditions and state-of-the-art technologies; the Wenlock Jug greets you as you walk through the entrance and a bright and cheery shop invites you to browse. The old Mossman building has been transformed into a Learning Centre and Discovery Hall, with lots of new exhibits, and at the end of the hall is a large airy art gallery. One of Stockwood’s main attractions is its gardens and these have been enhanced. Friends and residents of Luton should be very proud of this new amenity. | |||||||||||||
