| Paul Howitt-Cowan Served as the East Midland's BAFM Co-ordinator from 1999 to 2005 and thus is no stranger to his 'patch'. He also co-ordinated the Robert Logan Award before Carol Bunbury took over the role. He is a graduate of the University of Kent and Durham. His background is in education, finally retiring as a lecturer in Theology at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln. He is currently Chairman of The Friends of Gainsborough Old Hall Association, was first elected in 1999 and is Chair of a Community group called HaT - Heritage and Tourism. Paul has a great interest in heritage and has co-written two guide books of local churches. He is a member of the Friends of Stow Minster, which is being launched in May 2008. Paul is Secretary of the newly formed Heritage Consortium at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln. He also chairs the governing bodies of two Church of England Primary Schools. Paul believes that friends groups are not just there as voluntary labour and to raise funds, they are also key 'stakeholders', with much to contribute towards the success of their heritage site. | |||||||||||||
