THE BAFM NEWSLETTER AWARD
The BAFM Newsletter Award is an annual award open to all member groups. The judges are looking for a publication which reflects well on the group and the museum it supports: is written by and for more than a small ‘in crowd’: is informative both to members and prospective members and acknowledges that BAFM exists!
The closing date for the next competition is Tuesday, 1st June 2010.
The award is split into two categories, those comprising groups with memberships over 500, and those with memberships below 500. There is one outright winner and two runners-up in each category.
The winners are announced at the BAFM AGM & Conference and are awarded a cheque for £250, plus a framed certificate. The runners-up each receive a cheque for £100 and a framed certificate.
Winners (but not runners-up) are barred from entering the competition in the year following their success.
If a winning group is not able to have a representative at the AGM to collect the award then the BAFM Co-ordinator for that area accepts the award on behalf of the group and then presents it to them, on behalf of BAFM, at a later occasion. |
